does CBD help sciatica pain?
Just wondering if anyone's had luck with cbd and sciatic nerve pain.
It helps a LOT for my daughter. Koi tincture under the tongue.
Depends on what's the cause of your sciatica. If it's inflammation related, more than likely is, then CBD will help relieve the pain. CBD makes a world of difference for my sciatic pain because I had a microdiscectomy on my L5-S1 this year. The sciatic runs through those vertebrae, and any inflammation in that area causes pain.
I have been researching on CBD oils recently and have found that it can be a good treatment for pain relief. In relation to sciatica, CBD can be better than taking NSAIDs. I've read that sciatica can be difficult to deal with since it's a combination of both nociceptive and neuropathic pain. CBD can reduce both nociceptive and neuropathic pain while offering fewer long-term side effects.
In addition, sublingual medication yields faster results since CBD can be easily absorbed by your sublingual artery. Best of luck!
looking for a legit cbd for sciatica.
hey there ive been suffering from bad sciatica due to a back injury over a year ago and ive tried just about everything to fix the nerve pain.. i got some cbd from hempworx but not sure if its really legit or not. want to know which companies have the best cbd because alot of the market screams scam to me
Oh man, good luck. I hope you find something that helps. I suffered with sciatic pain for 2.5 years before a double discectomy to correct issue. I was smoking a TON of weed at the time and taking NSAIDs like candy and, at best, it makes the pain more tolerable mentally but barely dulls it. Sciatic pain is nasty in that it is always on, persistent, and hard to find relief from. Basically only when I was asleep did I not notice it 😛
If you're physically able I would really recommend you start swimming 2-3 days a week. It will loosen you up and there is zero impact on your body. I was in the gym every day on the elliptical and 2-3 times a week in the pool to stay loose. Keep your leg muscles loose and your low back muscles loose, and your interior core muscles strong. Learn planks and modified planks. They don't require any core movement, just resistance, and should be safe for you to do (ask doc or physio, of course, and stop if you experience any pain beyond the normal taxation of exercise).
CBD Oil – Fact or fiction?
I've heard from a number of people they find CBD oil helps them with their back pain. Anyone have first-hand experience if it's helped or better? Is it better than Ben-Gay or one of those stinky analgesic creams? Is it better than just having someone rub your back for a while?
If it works for you, can you recommend a brand or type to buy?
Didn't work for me. Preferred the THC cause then I was still in pain, but at least I was high
CBD topicals and gummies did nothing.
But we just went to get our medical marijuana card. The doctor there said that the source of the CBD matters. That you can extract CBD from hemp and from the flower. Hemp CBD is weaker than CBD from the flower itself. No idea how true that is, but I will let you know once we try it.
Weed has been super helpful to manage pain and help get a restful sleep. Would highly recommend it.
I ended up having a breast reduction to help with my back pain and recently started taking cbd oil for it. It has been AMAZING, I can’t say enough about it. Seriously give it a shot. I use the stuff from HB Naturals, I can send you a link if you want. I use their oil and their pain relief cream.
Thanks much. I think the hippie store near my office sells this brand so I'll look for it.
I'd love to check it out. Can you send me the link?
Did crap for me.
Context I believe matters. Sciatica is a symptom and many things can cause it.
L5-S1 disc bulge, it has shifted. But I've also been vaping CBD. Has done a lot better for me than gaba and other previous pain meds.
I bought a 30ml bottle that set me back $100. I have been taking it for 2 weeks and hasn't done anything for me. I find smoking a really high THC strain works way better. I think it did more for my anxiety than my pain (the oil).
I just bought some hemp based CBD, I will start a log and post it later this week. Went with Hemp based as I am finally 5 years Alcohol Free, 7 years Drug free and 1 Year Nicotine free. Don't want any THC to mess that up.
A few months ago my husband and I were driving through town and I saw a pharmacy sign flash saying they sell Ananda Hemp CBD products. We turned around because I had been wanting to see if the hype was true. Now first of all, CBD oil is by no means cheap. The smallest bottle this pharmacy had was $60. Second, how long the bottle would last, would depend on your dose. As far as your dose, you would have to do trial and error as there isn’t a recommendation because it varies by person. Personally, I took 3 dropper fulls a day, sometimes twice a day, and the bottle lasted me about 6 weeks. Now normally I had been taking Mobic (back to it because of financial problems) and I have flexeril to fall back on and at the time I’d been smoking cannabis quite a lot, contributing to needing such a larger dose. Depends on your weight too as always with any cannabis product. During the time I was taking the oil, I didn’t need ANY of my usual medicine, although sometimes I’d take it just in case if I knew I’d be on my feet a lot that day. So, for me, yes CBD is a miracle worker.
Edit: grammar nazi in me
I should probably also add that my pain stems from an L5 herniation L4 bulge
